Green Bay Packers have a good defense. Is it a great defense? No. Does it have the structure to potentially be great next season? Absolutely. The Packers have a very young defense overall. But where they’re the youngest is at the secondary position. They are chock-full of young, talented secondary members such as Jaire Alexander, Kevin King, Darnell Savage, and their oldest member being Adrian Amos at the ripe old age of 27. This Packers defense might be ready for a step up which no one is talking about for the 2020 season.

Adrian Amos is the oldest of 17 Packers DBs currently on the roster. He's only 27. Average age of those 17 is less than 24 years old.

If they added Tramon Williams, this would certainly change things, but if they don’t, this is an impressive collection of young talent. Chandon Sullivan has a chance to be a solid player for the Packers. The same goes for Ka’Darr Hollman who many were high on when they drafted him out of Toledo. Also, don’t sleep on Stanford Samuels who could be the next version of Sam Shields. A talented undrafted rookie who got the short end of the stick with the NFL Draft. If you peel back the onion a little more, you realize this whole defense is young as Amos along with three other guys (Za’Darius Smith, Preston Smith, and Christian Kirksey) are the oldest members of the defense.

Could we all be sleeping on a huge year for this defense based on potential? Most NFL players do not typically hit their peak until that 26-30 range. We could see some major developments on this defense, and we shouldn’t act surprised when it happens next year for the Pack Attack.
