Aaron Rodgers’ Instagram Post Leaves More Questions Than Answers
You probably don’t feel this because you’re not a podcaster, but if you are, there is no worse feeling than missing something when you tape. It’s why I’ve taped podcasts later and later to make sure nothing is being missed. Depending on today’s outcome, I’ll either be very upset or not affected at all from missing Aaron Rodgers’ lengthy Instagram post. Rodgers thanked a lot of people inside the Green Bay Packers organization along with his ex-fiance Shailene Woodley. The decision will happen today, but this is differently a thing to throw people off the proverbial scent.
There are a few scenarios going on here. One is that Rodgers is retiring from football. I would be stunned if this happened. Rodgers would have to share the stage with Tom Brady for the Hall of Fame induction. Also, the guy won two MVPs and now is calling it quits? It wouldn’t feel right to me or anyone watching this team. The other is that he will be leaving this season and asked the Packers to work out a trade. Or Green Bay explained to him that it makes the most sense to trade him and is he okay with that (Packers fans will lose their shit if this happens). Lastly, it could be a move to throw everyone off the scent. Everyone thought he would be coming back, and maybe this is a diversion to keep Adam Schefter and others way.
We’ll have an answer at 1:00p likely when Rodgers joins Pat McAfee. Whatever happens, happens. I’m not going to lose my mind either way. I’ve made peace with both sides of the outcome, and it’s been a hell of a ride. We all should get to watch the Rodgers’ address. Work shuts down in the state. Just Rodgers and nothing else.
