Aaron Rodgers Recalls His First Meeting With Brett Favre Differently

Jeff Pearlman has a new book out titled ‘Gunslinger’ about Brett Favre, and many Packers, ex-Packers are claiming things said in the book are untrue. We’ve seen this with Pearlman’s book before when he did a similar type of book on Walter Payton. It’s not surprising Aaron Rodgers called the story “completely false” to Rob Demovsky and others from the Packers media. There’s an excerpt of the book that’s been out for a couple weeks where the first meeting Rodgers had with Favre, he said ‘Hi Grandpa!’ Rodgers didn’t deny calling him ‘grandpa’ at some point, rather saying the initial meeting didn’t go down like Pearlman portrayed in his book.
To me, it’s a non-story for the most part. It’s not important to the 2016 Packers season, and Rodgers did the stand-up thing answering a question from somebody even if this doesn’t matter. We’ll see if there’s any continued blowback as there has been already with Donald Driver and Craig Nall.
