An Ode To The Davon House Fan Club

Yesterday, Davon House retired from the Green Bay Packers. This is a sad day for me as House was one of my sneaky favorite Packers players. We all have those guys, right? Not everybody’s favorite, but someone that over time becomes your guy. House became that dude for me. I cannot remember the game or the reason why, but I birthed #DavonHouseFanClub on Twitter. From my knowledge, I enjoyed the way he played football and liked that he wasn’t the guy for everyone on the Packers defense. Happy that House can go out the way he wants as a Green Bay Packers player.
Davon House had Marshall blanketed on that OTB catch B-Marsh made. #DavonHouseFanClub

House loved his time in Green Bay. The first time and the second time. I guarantee you he will find his way around doing Packers alumni things for the next few years. I’ve mentioned this before when guys decide to retire, but it feels so fucking cool every time a player wants to retire as a Packer. And that Green Bay grants their wish to do so. I’m not sure how that all works (Great story idea for someone with more access) but it warms my heart.
The #DavonHouseFanClub is gone but not forgotten. We almost tried with Blake Martinez but it never panned out. I need a new fan club. Stay tuned for updates this summer.
Charlie.
