Applauding Aaron Rodgers for Anti-Wave Stance

If you’ve been with us for awhile, you know I hate the wave. It’s the worst thing that happens in the State of Wisconsin. It’s antiquated and makes our fan base look dumb. Nothing is more annoying than being next to guy or girl who wants to get the wave started in your section. They get it up in the middle of an inning or a TV timeout and shout ‘1! 2! 3!’ then the wave begins. If you do this, you’re an asshole and please know that I hate you and other people do as well. Aaron Rodgers came out as an anti-wave guy and boy, do I love him even more now. Look at what he said to the media yesterday.
Aaron Rodgers was talking about the #Seahawks fans' ability to be loud and a handful of reporters chuckled at part of his remark, interpreting it as a reference to @LambeauField fans doing the wave while the #Packers are on offense. His reply was lighthearted and fun: pic.twitter.com/fgOoe5p0qw

Rodgers is absolutely spot on. THe wave is really not something you should ever do on offense. The team wants silence, not people acting all ruley and not paying attention. Lambeau is a tough place to play, and the Packers play well there yet the fans don’t always rise to the occasion. Too many people there are just happy to be at the game and don’t really care about football. I’m not sure if we can stay that about other NFL stadiums across the country. To the crowd’s defense, they did get a rough draw from games perspective. Miami, Buffalo, Arizona are all brutal with Minnesota being very early on in the year.
If anyone can stop the wave, it’s Rodgers.
Charlie.
