As I lay out on the preview, Wisconsin is a perfect matchup against Army. I get all of the metrics and everything about what Army does in terms of covering. But this is an awful matchup for them. They’re trying to run the football when Wisconsin has basically engineered a defense to stop the run. This is a perfect defense against Army. You should feel really good about the Badgers in this one. I get they’re 3-3 and not maybe the best team, but they’re much better than I think what people think of them.

I mentioned this last week, but Wisconsin played the toughest schedule in college football before that Illinois game. While Army is a good team, and probably a bowl team, what is the hardest team they’ve faced this season? Here’s the list of teams that the Golden Knights have played – Georgia State, Western Kentucky, UConn, Miami (OH), Ball State. None of those teams are very good. There might be some bowl teams in there, but it’s like a meaningless bowl game. So this is a step up for Army.
