Badgers O-Line Makes Sports Illustrated Cover

Wisconsin Badgers hype train continues to roll on. We talked about this on the podcast but worth noting on the blog that Wisconsin Football hype has never been higher. The o-line makes the cover of Sports Illustrated in a fun image with the five of them in a circle. They are the best offensive linemen in college football and will play a huge role in making Jonathan Taylor a successful Heisman-like candidate. Sports Illustrated goes as far as to say they are National Championship contenders which is a mighty tall order for Wisconsin who has seemingly come up short every year.
The Wisconsin Badgers on the cover of Sports Illustrated?
Big if true…

This hype will be a lot for Wisconsin to take this season. It’s good they start off slow and get tested early on. That game on September 22nd is likely going to be under the lights at Kinnick and be a must-see game. If so, Wisconsin will have to overcome that in Iowa where they don’t lose a lot of night games. That’s hurdle number one. If they clear that one early on, it could prove to be beneficial for the other road tests upcoming at Michigan and Penn State. I do think these games will help Wisconsin be battle-tested for the Big Ten Championship unlike the last two years. Additionally, it’s hard for me to think a one-loss Big Ten winner will not get into the College Football Playoff considering how good the Big Ten should be this season.
Cannot wait for college football to be back in our lives.
Charlie.
