Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield may be an honorary Milwaukeean when it’s all said and done. Mayfield came to the Jets-Browns game wearing a Christian Yelich jersey. He had a bag with him, so, I could not tell if it was a customized ‘Yeli’ jersey or ‘Yelich’. Regardless, that was fucking cool. After Mayfield led a comeback and gave Cleveland their first win since 2016, Baker stepped up to the podium and did the usual press conference thing then ended with his support for Yelich’s MVP campaign.

I'm not sure any @officialBBWAA were listening or watching @bakermayfield's post-game conference, but his message was pretty simple for them regarding the NL MVP.

Baker is the man. I’ve always been a Baker guy but now this makes me support him even more. Most Milwaukeeans who might not cheer for Mayfield might have to turn a new leaf. It’s cool to see him and Yelich have a good relationship. They became friends in the offseason and work out together. Wonder if Yelich will wear a Browns jersey tonight before the game?
