Barry Switzer Delivers the Best Baker Mayfield Take

Barry Switzer is an American legend. That man is the epitome of college football in the 1980’s. He led the ‘fast and loose’ culture of that generation, and what college football was during that time. Switzer also had quite the amount of coaching swagger throughout his time in football. If social media were a thing during his time, we would be writing weekly blog posts about something the former Oklahoma coach said on Twitter like we did for awhile with Jim Harbaugh. The media asked him about the Baker Mayfield crotch grab, and he delivered a beautiful answer.
Former OU coach Barry Switzer says Madonna and Michael Jackson are to blame for Baker Mayfield's gesture last week: "They started all that grabbing the crotch years ago." 🤔

I mean, what a fucking glorious take. He blames Madonna and Michael Jackson for grabbing their crotches. That’s amazing. Is Barry still stuck in the 80’s? Like does he really think Mayfield saw these people grabbing their crotches? I love it so much. I’m also all for blaming people from other generations for the shit that I’m doing. There’s no better way to defer the blame in my opinion. Also, it appears Switzer was at some sort of tailgate, so we can assume the man had himself a few Bud Heavies before this answer, correct? That’s the only way this take makes sense.
Long live Barry Switzer and Baker Mayfield.
Charlie.
