Bears Media & Fans Think Clinton-Dix > Amos
It’s time to laugh at Bears fans and the media members who carry the water for them. On Thursday, Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, former Packers first round pick, signed a one-year deal with the Chicago Bears. After the Packers traded him away last season, Clinton-Dix did not make it back to the Redskins, rather, he will be back in the NFC North playing for Green Bay’s rival. Immediately, Bears fans and their media started to promote the idea that Clinton-Dix was somehow the better player than Amos. It reeked of sour grapes and a lack of understanding what type of player Clinton-Dix is on the field. The former Packers player is an all-time ‘Looks good on paper’ player, but when the game begins, you realize what a mistake you made by thinking he’s a good player.
I like this move. Bears upgrade position with durable vet surrounded by capable, experienced secondary players and fierce pass rush. Clinton-Dix motivated by prove-it deal. In essentially a swap of safeties, Bears get best of Packers. https://t.co/bh97NQLak0

Why can’t Fans separate actual analysis from fanboy talk. I like the Packers and hope they’re back in the hunt this year, but Ha Ha Clinton-Dix is a more complete safety and a better player than Adrian Amos. Just deal with it guys. Telling the truth isn’t a slap at the Packers.

I’m very excited to pull these tweets about halfway through the season and see how everyone feels about Clinton-Dix. Arkush debating with Zach Kruse used Clinton-Dix’s stats to compare him with Amos like it was fucking 1995. Listen, I’m not a big tape guy. There are enough tape guys out there, but there are hundreds of clips littering all over Twitter showing how poor play of Clinton-Dix. He looks the part, but that’s the problem. There isn’t anything that separates him. He is an average football player.
If you want to say ‘Well the Bears got a bargain’ as The Ringer’s Robert Mays, noted Bears fan, did yesterday, that’s fine. I’m down with that. Look, there are worse ways to spend 3.5 million dollars as an NFL team. He is worth the gamble, but what Packers fans are trying to tell everyone, the juice isn’t worth the squeeze. He disappointed in Green Bay then in Washington, why will Chicago be any different for him?
Charlie.
