Best Brewers Highlight of the Night: Yelich Breaks Wrigley’s Scoreboard

The first Brewers game of the season was not a good one. Brewers could not hit worth a damn. Kyle Hendricks is a Brewers killer, and he showed it on Friday. But a great moment happened before the game. Christian Yelich took batting practice before the game, and he hit a home run that smashed the scoreboard at Wrigley Field. That is one way to send a message to the Cubs fans. This would be so much cooler if the Brewers won yesterday, but since they lost with only having three hits with no runs and only one guy hit the ball. Still, this is a cool moment.

We will see if Yelich goes scoreboard hunting again this weekend. If he is going to hit the scoreboard, this will have to happen during the game. Most teams do not take BP during afternoon games. And the next two Brewers-Cubs games are in the afternoon so we’re not likely seeing Yelich hitting a scoreboard. He struggles at Wrigley though so let’s set the expectations low for the rest of the weekend. Also, this is hard to do. There is no way this happens more than a few times a year at the very most.
