Bob Brenly’s Comment Towards Villar Was Pathetic

Milwaukee Brewers took care of business against Arizona Diamondbacks on Friday night with an 8-6 game. Milwaukee kept fighting off the high-powered D’Backs offense all game long. Jonathan Villar made one of the best plays of the night by diving towards first base to save a run from scoring in the 8th inning. Unfortunately for Villar, he severely hurt his back on the play which led to a long stoppage of time. This did not make former Diamondbacks, now color analyst Bob Brenly happy in the booth.

This is a garbage statement from Brenly. I cannot imagine someone being so crass that they would make a comment like this one. I understand that the game wasn’t moving the fastest but keep your mouth shut when it comes to things like back injuries or any injury for that matter. Villar’s career could be fucking over for all we know. Brenly decided to open his mouth when he should not of because he thought it might hurt Diamondbacks’ chances to win the game. There’s no sign of him making an apology as now, but let’s hope it comes today.
