Brad Davison is the headline of the Wisconsin Badgers game from Tuesday night against North Carolina State. Davison drew five charges in a 40 minute game and sealed the game for Wisconsin in the final minute of the game with his fifth charge of the game. Now, the question is are these actual charges or is Davison, the college version of Manu Ginobili? The national media jury says that he’s more of the latter especially on the final charge of the game. Badgers fans do not care about what the national media thinks of their guard.

Here’s thing about Davision’s charge game. It’s going to work at home gym. Kohl Center will give him those calls based on the reaction and emotion of the crowd. We’ll see about a road gym. And if the tape shows more flopping than actual charges, the refs will likely start leaning the other way. If Buzzcut Brad (Shouts to One Shining Pod) can balance his charges with normal defense, he’ll be alright. What Davison cannot do is fall in love with trying to take a charge all the time.
