Wisconsin and Xavier have a pseudo rivalry with each other. The two teams met in the NCAA Tournament in 2016 when Bronson Koenig stunned the second-seeded Xavier with a game-winning bucket to advance the Badgers to the Sweet 16. Then in 2017 at the Gavitt Games, J.P. Macura did a gator chomp to the Badgers student section in reference to the Badgers losing to Florida on a last-second shot in the previous year’s Sweet 16. Brad Davison didn’t forget about that and gave Xavier his own gator chomp when the Badgers beat Xavier last night. It’s fun, it’s light-hearted, it’s what sports should be about.

Davison begins the heel turn season for the Badgers. If Wisconsin is a tournament team this year, Davison will be in the headlines for a lot of this shit. I believe I’ll be writing about Buzzcut Brad’s (Shouts to the One Shining Podcast) antics more often than not this year. The dude is a natural shit stirrer. College basketball and basketball in general are the home for shit stirring. Don’t ask me why that’s the case, but it tends to happen to break that way usually. Good win for Wisconsin as they go 2-0 to start the young year.
