As the Brewers rolled into Saturday’s game with Colorado, they were on a three-game winning streak with 11 runs scored on Friday. The air fell out of the balloon facing Kyle Freeland. Brewers could not muster any offense as they fell 4-0 to the Rockies. Trevor Story was the offense for Colorado. He homered twice and doubled in the other run providing all four runs for Colorado. Story has been on complete fire in this series, and Brewers have done nothing to stop him thus far. Hopefully, they can slow them down this afternoon.

Player of the Game: Trevor Story -> This is an obvious choice. Brewers did not have an answer for him on Saturday night as mentioned. The one drawback of having to scratch Chase Anderson is Brent Suter had to face a Rockies lineup that’s dangerous versus the hand especially Story and Nolan Arenado. Suter could not get either player out during his five innings of work.

Honorable mention: Alec Asher -> I have to give this guy some credit who pitched two innings today, then to get optioned right back to Triple A on Sunday morning. He did a great job out there pitching two innings of scoreless ball with a couple strikeouts. Good for Asher who hasn’t had the best of luck in the big leagues pitching for Baltimore or Philadelphia. Hopefully, he will get another chance in the bigs.

Honorable mention: Jesus Aguilar -> I have to give Zeus credit here. He did a great job at third base filling in for Travis Shaw. Aguilar made some great plays out there. My dad thought he would do fine at third whilst I worried about him. This is why you trust your elders, folks.

Next up: Freddy Peralta heads to the hill for the Brewers on Sunday making his Major League debut. We’ll see how he does in this role. Rockies send their ace Jon Gray to the mound who has done well at home for his career. Gray is a fastball pitcher which usually works out okay for the Brewers.
