In 2008, there was no one cooler in Milwaukee than CC Sabathia. Everyone loved CC. He is the reason the Milwaukee Brewers broke their 26-year playoff drought. There is an argument to be made that Sabathia, even though he played for the Brewers for three months, should be honored in some capacity. The Brewers Wall of Fame feels like a great spot for him. One of his best performances as a Brewer came on a Sunday afternoon against the Pittsburgh Pirates. He should have a no-hitter to his name, but instead, it’s a one-hitter due to an official not scoring something at error. Well, that game is getting replayed on FOX Sports Wisconsin this week. Brewers are keen to let people know that the one hit was a fluke.

Sabathia pitched a gem in this game going the distance only allowing that one hit, striking out eleven and walking three. It is likely we will do a ‘Top five favorite Brewers pitchers’ and Sabathia will find his way on the top five. The summer of 2008 was awesome with Sabathia. He pitched three days, four days, or five days, it didn’t matter. Sabathia had the determination to get the Milwaukee Brewers into the playoffs.
