Zach Britton is the best reliever in baseball. No one questions that. Britton was so good this season he hasn’t allowed a run since April. Buck Showalter decided to wait until Baltimore had a lead before Britton could enter the one-game playoff. Baltimore never got the lead, and Britton never made into the baseball game. It’s one of the worst decisions in recent playoff history. Showalter didn’t even tried to hide that the closer was healthy and ready to go.

I know Orioles fans will be mad at Showalter, but let’s be real here, Baltimore didn’t have a real chance at this thing. Losing like this in a one-game playoff is much better than five-game playoff.
