Bucks Bungled Fourth Quarter Leading to Bad Loss

Milwaukee Bucks and New Orleans Pelicans were in a good ole fashioned shootout. Neither team really had a desire to play defense, but Milwaukee did enough to stay ahead of New Orleans for the greater part of the game. In the fourth quarter, Milwaukee held a lead until the Pellies began to creep back into position to take over the game. During the middle of the fourth, Jason Kidd brought Eric Bledsoe to the scorer’s table with six minutes left, but due to game flow, he didn’t make it in until 3:39. Yep. That really happen. Kidd cost Milwaukee this game on Wednesday night.
Jason Kidd loses his early month goodwill
I really can’t comprehend this shit from last night. He uses a timeout when New Orleans starts to get hot to let Bledsoe come into the basketball game. I like DeAndre Liggins, don’t get me wrong, but no way should Liggins be part of the crunch-time lineup for this team. Bledsoe struggled in this game from the field, but that isn’t a reason to keep him off the court. He’s one of the big reasons Milwaukee turned around their season and near the top of the Eastern Conference. It’s ridiculous.
Giannis continues his torrid pace
In a game where people thought Giannis Antetokounmpo may struggle due to the rim protection of DeMarcus Cousins and Anthony Davis, he did not have any issues. Giannis went off for 21 first-half points and finished with 32. He ended up grabbing nine rebounds, five steals and four assists. Antetokounmpo continues to put up ridiculous stat lines to start the season, and he looks like there aren’t many teams that can slow him down. He’s a bad matchup across the league and showed that again on Wednesday night.
John Henson stood tall-ish versus the twin towers
Worth giving a shoutout to John Henson. Davis and Cousins did their thing, but Henson did okay for all things considered. He only had one foul in the game and ended up being productive inside with 12 points five rebounds. Boogie did not have a strong full game, rather, he turned it on late, and Davis did his usual Brow things. The thing that makes New Orleans very tough if you lack size like Milwaukee is one guy (Boogie or Brow) is going to beat you on a nightly basis. It’s the worst ‘pick your poison’ out there.
Next up
Milwaukee faces a surging Bulls team all of the sudden who has won four straight games including a victory over the Utah Jazz last night. Giannis should be poised for a huge night as there isn’t a single player on that team who can stop him. It should be a fun one at the Bradley Center.
