Bucks Buzz: Big Conley Shots + Bad Refs = Bucks Lost

Milwaukee Bucks came home from a 2-2 road trip to play the Memphis Grizzlies. They had yet to lose at the Fiserv Forum, but now, that’s changed for the Bucks. Memphis Grizzlies took them down 116-113 thanks to a big night from Mike Conley who did not miss down the stretch and a piss poor performance from the NBA officials. It’s tough to see Milwaukee lost this one, but Memphis is a good team. They’ve been scrappy all year and beat Philadelphia last Saturday. This isn’t a scrub team. If any Bucks fan is upset about this lost, they do not have a clue.
Player of the Game: Mike Conley – Is Mike Conley the most underrated player in basketball? Serious question. He never made an All-Star Game. He did not make an Olympic team. There’s nothing on his resume worth pointing out, yet, the guy is a goddamn killer. Conley having the basketball down the stretch felt terrifying, and he knew exactly how to give Milwaukee buckets. The final dagger shot he made was fucking incredible. Big balls shot from Conley.
Honorable Mention: Giannis Antetokounmpo – Good night from The Greek Freak this evening. He had 31 points, nine rebounds and he made 11 of 12 free throws. Giannis was extremely efficient from the field making 10 of 14 shots in the game. He drove Milwaukee tonight. One of those games where Milwaukee needed to lean on Antetokounmpo, and he let it happen. He did have six turnovers as that continues to be a problem in his game, but it’s a minor detail in a strong performance.
One Thing I Liked: Came back without the threes – Milwaukee trailed by 10 points in the third quarter and looked like it was Memphis’ game. Bucks could not hit anything from behind the arc only going 26 percent from deep. Despite that, Milwaukee found a way to tie up the game in the early fourth then took the lead for a little bit in middle of the fourth. Bucks had a 99-94 lead before it faltering away with a 15-2 run by Memphis.
One Thing I Didn’t Like: The refs changed the game – The young ref tried to show the world he had a huge cock. Ridiculous stuff last night in the Bucks-Grizzlies game where they had so many terrible calls throughout the game including down the stretch. They did not know when or when not to blow their whistle. NBA refs shouldn’t be this bad.
Highlight of the night: Giannis goes through the spin cycle. Amazing move by the Freak. Love it.
How'd Giannis make this move look so easy? 🤯 pic.twitter.com/C4h5Z73LAJ

Next up: Bucks stay home to take on the Bulls on ESPN late night. Jabari Parker’s first game back to the Cream City. It should be a rowdy crowd with an 8:30 tip time on a Friday. People are going to be drunk. It should be a good time. Bulls were blown out on Wednesday, and they usually don’t follow it up with another blowout.
Charlie.
