Giannis Antetokounmpo is on fire. He’s playing hot right now on the basketball court. Giannis scored 34 points, grabbed 18 rebounds and eight assists to help Milwaukee avoid their first two-game losing streak of the year. Bucks including Giannis became red hot in the fourth quarter going on a big run to push them past San Antonio. Milwaukee finished 134 points which is their second game above 130 this week and finish their homestand with a 4-2 record. This was a solid win that highlights Milwaukee’s no-quit attitude and the ability to come back in any scenario. They were down eight in the fourth, and it did not phase them whatsoever.

Player of the Game: Giannis Antetokounmpo – Like we mentioned, this has been a week for Giannis. For the first time all season, it feels like Giannis is in a groove offensively. These were his numbers at Fisev Forum in the last five games – 30.8 points per game, 13.8 rebounds per game and 6.0 assists. Another thing that’s worth noting is Giannis’ turnovers are going down too. He averaged 3.6 turnovers this week. That’s a good number for Antetokounmpo. It feels like he’s finally fully gelling with Budenholzer’s offense. Love to see this from the Bucks superstar.

Silver Star: Eric Bledsoe – You could make a real case for Malcolm Brogdon here. President hit a huge three late in the game to seal it for Milwaukee. That said, Bledsoe played really well especially down the stretch. Bledsoe had 10 assists and hit a big shot with time expiring on the shot clock with less than minute left in the game. Bledsoe is showing out this season and could make a case for being a more important second banana to the Greek Freak.

Positive: No white flag waved – We talked about this throughout the first two months of the season, but Milwaukee doesn’t quit. There were so many games under the Kidd/Prunty administration where the white flag would be waved in the second half especially on a back-to-back. Milwaukee trailed by eleven points early on in the fourth quarter and did not give a shit. They did everything to come back in this game. Milwaukee took control in the final couple of minutes and pulled away late.

Negative: First half struggles continue – Milwaukee hasn’t done well in the first quarter besides the Portland in the last couple of weeks. It’s been a real issue for them. Suns scored 64 points on Friday, and Spurs had 68. Bucks trailed in both of those games. Granted, the margins were not significant, but still, Bucks have to be ready to go defensively at the start of the game.

Next up: Bucks will take on the Hornets Monday night in Charlotte. It’s Milwaukee’s first road trip since their West Coast journey a couple weeks ago. These two met to kick off the year, and Bucks helc on late after starting red hot as the Hornets mounted an amazing comeback. Kemba Walker has been one of the stars of the 2018 season. Bledsoe has been great versus point guards all season. It will be a great challenge for him. This could also be a potential playoff matchup in April.
