Bucks Buzz Vol. 46: Gutless & Heartless in Toronto

This is late, but it’s worth talking about Milwaukee Bucks. Last night was not a good one in Toronto. Bucks didn’t show up in the first quarter and that set the tone for the rest of game. There were a few good signs, but not much. What a disappointing loss against a Toronto team who owns Milwaukee. Tonight’s game has become a must-win for Bucks. Tonight is a character game where you show up with your best possible stuff. If Giannis Antetokounmpo is the superstar we all think and believe he is, this is the game where he doesn’t let his team lose at Bradley Center and on his jersey night.
Player of the Game (Bucks): Jabari Parker – He’s been playing well of late. Parker finished with 21 points and 13 rebounds in a solid performance when most of the Bucks didn’t show up. He didn’t play as well on defense, and that continues to be a problem, yet Parker providing some much-needed scoring for the team currently.
(Not) Player of the Game (Bucks): Rashad Vaughn – The Bucks 2015’s first round draft pick received 30 minutes. That’s a lot for Vaughn, and he followed up with two whole points missing seven shots. This is a moment for Vaughn to step up and he did not rise to the occasion. We’ll see if the extended minutes continue on Saturday night.
Player of the Game (Raptors): Kyle Lowry – He carried the team last night. Lowry played great with 32 points and six assists. He looked like a player who didn’t want his team to lose three straight games. Lowry did it from everywhere on the court. It sucks to watch Raptors punk Bucks all the time, but Lowry is a hell of a talent.
Positive: Free Thon – It’s time for Thon Maker to play in more rotations. You can see he adds an element of offense for the team. He could be an answer for the team’s second quarter woes. Maker should receive eight to ten minutes a game at this point especially against teams who struggle with big men like Raptors do.
Negative: Just piss poor first quarter – At least, act you like give a shit. I don’t care if Bucks lose a tough game honestly. I really don’t. But don’t fucking waltz into Toronto with c-minus effort in the first quarter. That’s the type of shit that will drive you wild as a fan.
Next up: We’ve already talk about Bucks game against Boston. Such a huge game for them. Win this, and we’ll talk about how they handle their mountain trip next week. Celtics smashed Magic last night and gave some of their players some much-needed rest. They’ll be all ready for this one. I do think this is a bad matchup for Isaiah Thomas but what the hell do I know.
