Bucks-Mavs Three Kegs Awards: Boogie Renaissance Is Here

Milwaukee Bucks took care of business last night beating the Dallas Mavericks, 102-95. The Bucks came back after a rough start to beat up the G-League Mavericks. It would have been a brutal loss for the Bucks had Milwaukee dropped this one. Even though they were on a back-to-back, this Mavericks team would be the worst or near the worst in the league. It’s the NBA and it happens. I mean look at Philadelphia who lost to the G-League Hawks last night at home and only scored 96 points. But Milwaukee got it done. This is their second straight win as they start to build momentum heading into a softer spot in their schedule. Here are the best players from this game.
THREE KEGS (Top performer)
Demarcus Cousins – BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOGIE! Despite Khris Middleton having a better night on the stat sheet, this game is all about DeMarcus Cousins. He scored 22 points, eight rebounds, and four assists. This is the second straight game where he scored 15+ points. There might be something here with Cousins. They have to make a decision on Boogie in the next two weeks, and he is starting to feel himself. This is a major development for the Bucks. Their front-line of Bobby Portis, Brook Lopez, and Boogie might be the best in the league.
TWO KEGS (Still a really good night)
Khris Middleton – Man, it is good to have Middleton back. He missed three games with a knee injury last week, but Midds has been thriving since his return. Middleton finished with 26 points, seven assists, and five rebounds. The Bucks forward only shot the ball 14 times and scored 26 points. That’s fucking impressive. He can carry this team without Giannis Antetokounmpo. We’ve seen it time and again and I weirdly think Middleton doesn’t get enough credit for that.
ONE KEG (Good night)
Jrue Holiday – Let’s not sleep on the night that Holiday had. He nearly led the team in scoring. Holiday had a huge third quarter that woke up Milwaukee. He has been so fucking good in the last few weeks. It’s a little early to talk All-Star but Holiday deserves to be there with Giannis and Khris. Holiday finished with 24 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists.
