Bucks Buzz Vol. 65: The Los Angeles Survival Guide

Milwaukee Bucks-Los Angeles Clippers met for the second time this month. Bucks knew that given the chippy nature of the first game that Los Angeles would be out for blood. Bucks responded to everything that was thrown their way throughout this game. Even with some questionable lineups in the fourth quarter, Milwaukee held on to a lead and won in the final moments when Blake Griffin missed a game-winner in the post. Bucks first road win versus Clippers since 2007. It’s been since 2000 since Bucks swept Clippers
Player of the Game: Matthew Dellavedova (Bucks) – I’m not sure Delly figured out his role with this team or what, but he’s finishing the season strong to give a lot of Bucks fans hope for the future. He scored 12 points making all of his threes including a couple big ones in the final minutes of the game. Let’s hope this stretch continues for him.
(Not) Player of the Game: Tony Snell (Bucks) – Rough night for the Snelly Cat. He missed a wide-open three late in the game that would have gave Milwaukee a nine-point lead at the night and instead opened the door for Clippers to try and sneak a win. Snell had his worst game of recent memory going 1-of-7 from three and only scoring three points.
Player of the Game: DeAndre Jordan (Clippers) – He came on strong in the second half with a big finish. Jordan ended up with 22 points, 17 rebounds and a couple blocks. Milwaukee did not play its best defense around him late in this one. Jordan also made his free throws which obviously will help your stat line.
Positive: Chris Paul held in check – Khris Middelton and others did a great job with Chris Paul on the perimeter. He only scored six total points with seven assists missing eight of his 10 attempted shots. Paul never got hot in this game, and that’s a kudos to Bucks guards as well as the coaching staff for having a good book on Paul.
Negative: Foul Giannis continues to be a thing – Giannis Antetokounmpo dealt with foul trouble all game long for the second game. He picked up two quick ones, and a third to keep him out of the first half for quite a bit, and the same goes for the second half with only playing 28 minutes. Antetokounmpo still had 16 points and played a part in the win.
Next Up: Bucks stay in Los Angeles for a meeting with Lakers on Friday night. Milwaukee got blown out by Los Angeles last month, but that was the first game after Jabari Parker injury plus Lakeshow hadn’t become the tankshow. Bucks will try for their second straight and return to .500 for a night with Golden State looming on Saturday.
