Man, Toronto Raptors are a frustrating team. They are annoying in the sense that Raptors never seemed to go cold in this game and always had an answer for everything Bucks threw at them. This is Milwaukee’s seventh loss in eight times playing Toronto. Bucks did play well though and are now 6-8 for the season.

Player of the Game (Bucks) – Giannis Antetokounmpo: I was ready to give it to Tony Snell, but remembering how Giannis took over the basketball game in the final quarter, he’s deserving of this honor for last night’s game. Giannis finished the game with 29 points with 11 assists and 6 rebounds. Antetokounmpo took over this game and tried to bring Milwaukee over the hump versus Toronto.

(Not) Player of the Game (Bucks) – Jason Terry: At some point, Milwaukee’s coaching staff needs to give up on Jason Terry providing any sort of value for this team. He played 23 minutes, the most minutes off the bench on Friday night, and he scored zero points. Terry only shot the ball once. He played adequate defense, but that’s not a reason for him to get more minutes than anyone else off the bench.

Player of the Game (Raptors) – DeMar DeRozan: Everyone is talking about the season he’s had thus far for Raptors, and it’s justified for Raptors shooting guard. He’s having a fantastic year. The mid-range game is something we don’t see often in today’s NBA. DeRozan buried Bucks at the end of the game with two big shots including the game-sealer over two Bucks defender.

Positive: Bucks rained three – Milwaukee’s head coach Jason Kidd’s benchmark for threes in 10 made, and if the double-digit number hits, Milwaukee should win most games. Milwaukee had 12 threes in this game which is their best of the season. Snell led the way with four threes. It’s too bad Toronto had 14 and kept up with them all game long.

Negative: Stops didn’t happen – I don’t know if this Bucks fault per say, but they couldn’t stop Toronto to save their soul. Raptors always found a way to answer any sort of Bucks charge. Milwaukee never took over the lead, and while you can give Toronto a lot of credit, Bucks defense needs to be better.

Next Up: Milwaukee has a Sunday late afternoon meeting with Orlando on the road. Bucks have been notoriously bad there. They’ve only one game in their last 20 trips to Orlando. Let’s hope for Bucks sake this Sunday is a little different.
