Can Khris Middleton Save Bucks Season?

On Friday’s Bucks broadcast Milwaukee Bucks guard Khris Middleton announced that he will be coming back on Wednesday night versus Miami. This is exciting news for fans as some thought he might miss the season with this injury or if he came back, it wouldn’t be until mid-March. Middleton is way ahead of schedule, and he’s ready to join a struggling Bucks team who is in desperate need of his scoring and leadership. It’s unknown how much he’ll play to start to the 2016-2017, and whether it’s fair or not, Bucks guard will be seen as the savior this season.
Bucks need a shot of energy, and that’s what Middleton is going to bring to the table. He’s going to lessen the minutes of the Matthew Dellavedova and Tony Snell’s of the world to lessen their load and make them more effective pieces. It’s going to take the pressure off Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jabari Parker to score all the points. It also gives Bucks a closer which they need in the worst way. I truly believe Bucks would have five or six more wins if the former Texas A&M product was there this season. Sure, Middleton will be eased back into things, but it’s going to be a different-looking Bucks team. Right now, that’s the best thing for a team whose lost its identity and on the verge of being a lottery team for three of the last four years.
Middleton’s return is also saving Jason Kidd’s job. I’ve called for Kidd’s job enough, but my guess is the front office wants to see if Kidd can get these guys out of the funk with Middleton returning. If this spiral continues, Kidd will be fired and Bucks will look forward to an even brighter future.
