Do You Care About Packers Preseason Schedule?

NFL came out this afternoon and released the preseason schedule to the masses. Green Bay Packers will not be playing any opponents they’ll see next season, and no games will be on primetime meaning all four games will be on Thursday, Friday or Saturday. Packers end up with zero games against playoff teams last season, and two teams they faced last season with Philadelphia and Washington. The other two are Denver and Los Angeles Rams. Thinking out loud here, does anyone really give a shit about the preseason?
We’ve all agreed that it’s a tired act for this team to play four games of preseason football. They’re a huge money grab with no real thing to watch besides the young guns. Even that, we will not know who all the young guys until the start of May. I get that the preseason release is a build-up to the NFL schedule being released which should happen either next week or the week after. That said, this seems like a pointless act. Just release it when you do the full schedule.
If you want one thing to look at and gnaw on, it’s the third game of the preseason. That happens to be Denver at Mile High Stadium. Remember, this was the place where Aaron Rodgers fell apart on national television in 2015 leading to so many worries about the team. It’s a different atmosphere now with Broncos having a new coach and defensive mindset with Vance Joseph, and no explosive offense either. Packers will get a good challenge to get their mind rights for the season and facing a good team is a great thing for this squad.
Enjoy breaking down the preseason schedule if you do care.
