CFB Bowl Pick: We’re Goin’ To Miami (Beach Bowl)

Bowl season begun on Saturday with a lackluster start minus the App State-Toledo game. That was the best of the bunch, and no one cared because we were all watching Kentucky-North Carolina. My undefeated streak went bust when New Mexico didn’t cover then I lost the straight up when Arkansas State embarrassed UCF. We head to Miami for the one bowl game on in the middle of the afternoon. Record is 3-2 straight up and 2-3 against the spread.
Miami Beach Bowl: Central Michigan vs. Tulsa (-12.5) 1:30 pm ESPN – One of the few reasons I regret starting a new job in the final two weeks of the year is missing these meaningless bowl games. Nothing better than having a little Monday Night warm-up with a college football game. Tulsa looks to be the heavy favorite. Joshua Atkinson is a name you’ll hear on Sundays playing receiver for Golden Hurricane. Central Michigan will try to stop this high-powered attack, which will be a tall task. They’re led by quarterback Cooper Rush who threw for 3,299 yards this season.
Love the Golden Hurricane in this one. Their three losses are to Navy by two, Houston by seven and a blowout loss to Ohio State. That’s pretty damn good. Central Michigan had a signature win early, but they haven’t found much offense of late. Tulsa rolls over Central Michigan giving the American its first bowl win. TULSA 49-14
