Charles Barkley is shooting his shot. After the Milwaukee Bucks beat the Boston Celtics in Game 4, Sir Charles declared that the Bucks will win the NBA Championship. There is no such thing as a ‘Chuck curse’ like we would worry about with Drake (The only reason to cheer for Toronto is to avoid Drizzy showing up at Fiserv Forum in a Giannis jersey). The TNT staff wrote it down to have it on the books. Barkley believes in this Bucks team. I’ve welcomed people to bandwagon all season long, and it would be wrong of me to not add the Round Mound of Rebound to the mix.

Look, I admire the confidence from Barkley. And let’s also say this, it’s fucking cool that one of the bigger names in television says this about the hometown Bucks. This is a storyline that people will talk about locally and nationally. Sure, Barkley has his issues with Golden State, and he is not too fond of Houston either, so, maybe there is a bit of bias against those two teams but who gives a shit? Bucks fans asked for respect all year, and they’re finally starting to see some of it. National media types take a while to warm up to the teams from the Midwest. I will love to compare what some are saying tomorrow compared to what they said in February or March.
