Damn, I love this video so much. Marquette Golden Eagles faced a great deal of adversity on Saturday afternoon. Golden Eagles trailed by double-digits in the second half, and Marquette had to deal without having Theo John for most of the game. John got into foul trouble early and only played 12 minutes total in the game. Someone else had to step up, and that someone was Matt Heldt. Steve Wojciechowski spoke about Heldt’s leadership in practice and the locker room. It’s truly special to hear him talk about his center.

I'm not crying, you're crying.

No wait, I'm crying too. #mubb pic.twitter.com/Sdcm3wmiuB

This is what it’s all about. Talk about being a selfless player and doing whatever is ask of you. Not everyone can do that. There are some players that might transfer after John started to get his shine this year (For the record, I wouldn’t have blamed Heldt for that), but instead, he showed what it takes to be a leader on the Marquette roster. There are a ton of guys who I’m happy they’re part of the Golden Eagles program, and Heldt is one of them.
