Daily Tap: Loyola & Michigan Keep it Rollin’

Loyola kicked some serious ass yesterday (0-8 mins). It’s fun to watch a Cinderella come through like this. Ben Richardson was awesome and hit the dagger three to keep KState at bay. Still wish Kentucky would have beaten K-State. Game was kind of a bore honestly but still fun to keep it rolling. Michigan moves forward with their defense. Mo Wagner did not have a good game and Michigan overcame it. They fixed their defense last season and it paid off in a big way. It’s a glimmer of hope I have for Marquette. Wojo isn’t on Beilein’s level by any means, but it’s very interesting to see how much change caem from hiring Luke Yaklich.
Elite eight predictions today (8-10 mins) These are two great games this afternoon. Texas Tech-Villanova play the contrasting styles so it will be intersting to see who wins out. Still riding with Nova though today. Think their style wins out in the end. Why is Duke favored today? Kansas looked really good through three games, and Duke didn’t exactly impress vs. Cuse. Like I mentioned Azibuke-Bagley/Carter is gunna be awesome. Might come down to the guards. Think I’m taking Kansas. If Jayhawks lose today, they’ve lost five times under Self in the Elite Eight
Badgers recruiting (10-15) Tom Oates wrote an article today about how the Badgers aren’t getting top recruits in the past few years. Thankful that Oates gave praise to Sam Hauser and admitted Wisconsin dropped a major ball in that category. It seems like Wisconsin does not expand their horizons and they get too ‘locked’ into players. Gard’s clock is ticking. I wouldn’t say he’s on the hot seat yet but if this continues, he’s not going to last long. Wisconsin basketball was on par with Wisconsin football and now that gap feels widen
