Did Aaron Rodgers Hint Staying In Green Bay?

Many people believe this is the last dance for Aaron Rodgers. People seem to think he will no longer be a Green Bay Packers player after this season. There is reason to believe that. Jordan Love is unlikely to spend another year on the bench. Green Bay is in cap space hell currently and moving on from Rodgers would free up a ton of money. This would also allow the Packers to sign Jaire Alexander to an extension, maybe Elgton Jenkins, or try to sign Davante Adams. Although if Rodgers goes, I can’t imagine Adams wanting to stay on. The Packers quarterback did leave a bread crumb during his press conference after Green Bay’s win over Chicago.
I asked Aaron Rodgers if he shouted "I STILL OWN YOU" because it might be his last time playing the Bears in this rivalry, bc he might never get a chance to shout at the double-bird woman again on this field.
He said, "I dont think this is my last one." Hmm…. pic.twitter.com/Z7YKEpfgNL— Kalyn Kahler (@kalynkahler) October 17, 2021
This is interesting. What does it mean exactly? No one knows. Do we ever with Aaron Rodgers? It seems like there has been a cooling-off period, and that Rodgers is ready to be a Packers’ player for life. Maybe it was an in-the-moment comment and we all shouldn’t take it too seriously yet it’s hard not to think Rodgers said that purposefully. He does not usually throw things around lightly. The Packers quarterback could have easily skirted that and he chose not to. That’s awesome.
We’ll see what happens, but if Rodgers ends up staying as a Packers’ player beyond 2021. We will point to this quote as the day we knew Rodgers might be coming back. It’s up to him, Brian Gutekunst, Russ Ball, and Mark Murphy to figure out how they can keep him and also have money to spend with extensions for their premier players on the team.
