Doc Rivers Sums Up Why Bucks Job Was So Attractive

Los Angeles Clippers head coach Doc Rivers has spent a great amount of time in Los Angeles. He had a storied career with Boston and been mostly successful in Los Angeles even if the Chris Paul, Blake Griffin-led teams had some issues in the playoffs. Rivers could have been on the hot seat last year with the departures of Paul and Griffin, yet, he put together an admirable squad. If he was out of a job, Rivers sounded like he would have hoped the Milwaukee Bucks looked his way. Great quote from Doc before today’s Bucks-Clippers game.
Pre-game today, Clippers coach Doc Rivers talked a little bit about how much people around the league were talking about the Bucks job this summer.
"It was THE job."

That right there says so much to me. First of all, it refutes what Brian Windhorst said about the Bucks job being ‘unattractive’ due to the ownership issues. I’m going to lean with what Rivers says versus Windhorst especially a guy who lives comfortably in LA, and makes it sounds like he would have come to Milwaukee in a heartbeat.
Mike Budenholzer was always the right choice for Milwaukee. I realize it’s early in the season, and Milwaukee is doing well yet his system just works for the Bucks. Rivers might have been okay if available, yet, I would have questions about it. Same goes for David Fizdale who went to New York. Coach Bud, we trust.
