DOINK FG FOR THE WIN

Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos played an absolute classic at Mile High tonight with doink walk-off field goal winner. It’s easily one of the best games of the season, and once again, the NFL has a great slate of games. That’s a conversation for another time, but this game went from being boring to entertaining as all hell real quick. There were big plays after big plays. Kansas City driving down the field to force overtime with Alex Smith finding Tyreek Hill at the goal line for the win with under five seconds to go in overtime. Then Smith rolling to Demertius Harris, the former UWM standout basketball player, for the two-point conversation.

Denver had a chance to win this game with Brandon McManus from 62 yards out, and he pushed it. This opened door for Kansas City, and they drove down the field to get into position for a Cairo Santos game-winning field goal. He knocked it in using the goal post. Amazing win by Chiefs, and no one should criticize Gary Kubiak for his decision to win the game. Ties suck. I do wonder why he didn’t have Trevor Sieman try to win the game with his arm, but that’s another story for another time.

What a game. Denver is currently out of the playoffs if they started today. They head to Jacksonville while Kansas City will take on Atlanta.

Charlie.
