Drafting Garrett Mitchell “Guarantees” a Brewers World Series

Weird sports anecdotes are great. No matter the sport, weird sports anecdotes are always fun. Now, some people take it too far. Darren Rovell and Jayson Stark are two that come to mind. Stark will tweet out something wacky then end with baseball! With so many games, so many players, the wackiness in baseball is more prone to happen. There is a great weird one with the Brewers’ first-round pick. Every Pac-12 positional player drafted in the top 20 has gone on to win a World Series. I’m not saying, but I’m saying the Brewers are winning a World Series in the next twenty years.
Don’t worry we got this😤 @Brewers https://t.co/kARpskcmxq

The players are Shane Mack, Troy Glaus, and Chase Utley who all won titles after being drafted in the first round from Pac-12 schools. Also, these three players all went to UCLA. Two of the three (Utley and Glaus) were drafted by the team that they won a World Series with. These are all adding up in Mitchell’s favor. Could this be the secret to unlocking the Brewers’ World Series drought? It just might be. Or it could be Craig Counsell being a great short season manager and making Milwaukee win 40 some games in 54.
