Edmonton’s Fans Belts National Anthem After Mic Dies

There are certain moments in sports where things are just cool. Case in point, Edmonton Oilers took on Anaheim Ducks in a pivotal Game 3 where the young Oilers took a 2-0 advantage. As their fans were standing for the singing of a Star Spangled Banner, the mic cut out on country music singer. Fans did their best to deliver an A-plus anthem from the seats that will give you chills.
An incredible moment
When the mic doesn’t work, the crowd takes over & belts out The Star-Spangled Banner…

I love this. I love every minute of it. This isn’t Edmonton’s anthem. That’s O Canada, yet still, they are singing the national anthem with all sorts of praise and glory. If that doesn’t make you proud to be a sports fan where sometimes, we can show unity and a brother or sisterhood that brings us all together as sports fans.
I’m not usually one to cheer for Canadian teams (Blame Vancouver in the Stanley Cup Final), but I’m all in on this young Oilers team led by Connor McDavid. The series is now at 2-1 after Ducks ended up with seven goals.
