Fight Night in DC: Celtics & Wizards Rivalry Grows

For awhile, crusty old NBA purists would say how ‘NBA doesn’t have any rivalries. All of these guys like each other because of AAU.’ That type in the NBA has come and gone. I feel like there’s more hate than ever from teams and players. There is a feeling of pettiness (Shout to World Wide Wob) all over the league. It might start with Boston and Washington. Their series went to a whole another level when Kelly Oubre barreled into Kelly Olynk getting him thrown out of the game. There were other minor incidents throughout the game.
Kelly Oubre Jr. takes exception to Kelly Olynyk and absolutely lays him out is one of the best things I've ever seen. #NBAPlayoffs #DCFamily pic.twitter.com/wHG5wF90lR

This was quite a move by Oubre with a likely flop by Olynk. I love it. I love that NBA Playoff fights are back. We need more of it. How about Marcus Smart? He wanted to scrap right off the jump. Three players ended up ejected in this one as Brandon Jennings and Terry Rozier both exited in the fourth quarter. Oubre could be suspended for Game 4 as when he bull-rushed to Olynk he runs directly into an official. That likely means a suspension is coming which we would be a huge loss for Wizards team who has a light bench.
