Fly The L Flags Are Amazing, Brewers Fans

Tonight felt special. Why? Was it the fact The Killers opened up a state of the art arena downtown while the baseball team in the city tried to claw back into the National League Central Race? Things just felt like they were making a turn. Cole Hamels infamously made the comments about the Brewers-Cubs rivalry only to get ripped to shreds by Brewers fans all over the digital world. Then a hero brought in an L flag to Miller Park and hung it across the left field bleachers after the Brewers finished off an 11-1 win. That flag symbolizes something to me. No one is afraid of the big bad Cubs.

Whether you believe that to be true or not, Milwaukee looks like they’re catching Chicago at the right time. Cubs are in the middle of a 23 game stretch where they do not have a day off. Last night was Game 15, and Chicago will not get a day off until next Thursday. It’s clearly wearing on them a little bit. Brewers are doing everything in their power to make sure they take advantage.
Keep flying the L, kids.
Charlie.
