Every week, the NFL has lessons that can be learned from their games. These aren’t overreactions to what we saw take place of the field, rather things that might end up having some truth when we look back in November or December. Here are our learnings from this week. Usually three, but I included a fourth one since I’m a day late.

We learned Seattle’s offense might be in some trouble
Seattle isn’t in a good spot. They have a killer defense with zero offense. Seahawks have always tried to cut corners with their offensive line, and it’s finally biting them in the ass. Thomas Rawls has been a complete disaster as well as the other running backs on this team. This means the offense is Russell Wilson and Doug Baldwin which isn’t enough out there. Seattle should get some things together with San Francisco coming to town this weekend. If not, we move to another DEFCON level.

We learned to not overreact to week 1 – See Tampa Bay and Arizona
Remember when ESPN asked last week if Jameis Winston could be in the MVP voting? Then remember how he threw four interceptions and looked like complete dog shit against a good Arizona team? Also, remember how the Cardinals had all sorts of issues and Carson Palmer might be washed? Not the case. I still believe in Tampa, but the Cards sent a big warning shot.

We learned Washington is already having drama in their locker room
There’s never a dull moment with the Redskins. Reports came out yesterday that people were unhappy with Kirk Cousins performance after week two of the season. Apparently, they have a team full of pinheads. I’ll say this about Cousins. It’s becoming more clear he doesn’t handle good teams very well. Washington is in a do-or-die game next week versus New York.

We Learned Carson Wentz might be good but the jury is still out.
I’m ready to admit I was wrong about Carson Wentz. I thought there’s no way this kid could come in right away and make some noise. He hasn’t thrown a turnover in the first two weeks of the season and making some premier throws. If I’m Los Angeles or Cleveland, I’ve probably reached the fetal position in my grieving process. I don’t care that it happened against Browns and Bears, it’s still impressive.
