Giannis Finished Preseason With a Block Party

If you wanted to get excited about the Milwaukee Bucks season, look no further than Friday night’s game against the Detroit Pistons. Sure, they struggled to close it out, but I can’t really think that’s worth passing judgement considering the lineup in there. Bucks made 16 threes tonight with four from Snell and Mirza, Thon had a +28 in 26 minutes and the crown jewel was Giannis Antetokounmpo blocking everything in sight for five blocks to go along with 17 points, six rebounds and six assists. Seeing Giannis block shots that were either from chasedown or straight up, they were both things of beauty.
If anyone is ever gonna dethrone LeBron as the chasedown gawd one day, it‘s Giannis Antetokounmpo 😳 pic.twitter.com/5IBDf0hfVo

Giannis looked great out there. Hopefully, this eases any nerves that Bucks fans may have about the season after three rough preseason games. Milwaukee showed off their best self, and to me, they seem ready to roll into the regular season. It’s going to be a very exciting ride with this Bucks team. Giannis providing a glimmer on the offense and especially the defense side of the ball is a thing of beauty. I’m all for the block party to be a regular thing this season.
