Giannis’ First Offseason Demand: Keep Jabari Parker

Giannis Antetokounmpo had his exit interview with the Milwaukee media on Sunday, and he had some interesting thoughts on himself, the season and the offseason. Giannis appears to want it known that Jabari Parker will be a Milwaukee Buck next season. Giannis was adamant that Parker would be on the roster next season. For those who think that Jabari might be ‘jealous’ of Giannis, it’s unknown if that’s true. It certainly not felt by Giannis. He wants to open the new arena with his first round draft pick brethren.
Had a mistake earlier on this Giannis quote. Here is the full version, which might be even stronger: pic.twitter.com/G8AUma0LRN

Here’s the thing, I think Giannis wants to see this out with all of the guys who started it. Khris, Thon, Jabari are all his guys. Antetokounmpo is as loyal as they come, and therefore, he shows great respect for the friendship he has for his guys on the court. What the Bucks do with Parker is the second-most fascinating thing about the offseason? A part of me wonders if Parker takes the qualifying offer and goes all-in next season. Or if a team who is rebuilding like Sacramento, Chicago and New York comes with a huge offer that forces Milwaukee’s hand. Parker is an unpredictable dude, and I really don’t want to expect. It’s good to see Giannis has his back though.
