Giannis is the New King of the Eastern Conference

LeBron James is going to Los Angeles to be a Laker. He’s doing the thing that so many others have done in the past. With James leaving the Eastern Conference, there are not many superstars available on the Eastern and Central time zone. Giannis Antetokounmpo gets the first shot at the Eastern Conference Iron Throne, and we’ll see if anyone can take it from him. There are going to be a few guys who are going to come after him, but it starts with Giannis.
The haters will say ‘Giannis doesn’t have a playoff win, how can he be the king of the East?’ It’s pretty simple. Antetokounmpo put up MVP-like stats last season with a gaudy 26 points, 10 rebounds and nearly five assists per game. He’s the leader of his team and carries them like no other player in the East. Other than the playoff misfortune and the fact he cannot make a jumper, Giannis is the fucking guy in the East. Will he need to prove it next season? Absolutely. It’s a complete must for them to win a playoff series, and there’s a chance that Giannis can win MVP next season.
Let’s be real here as well. Everyone else in the East has their flaws too. Joel Embiid cannot stay healthy. DeMar DeRozan isn’t a superstar. Ben Simmons and Jayson Tatum might come for the crown, yet it’s far too early for those dudes to make a claim. Kyrie Irving is going to get the media-driven hype, but when do we start talking about how he cannot stay fucking healthy just like Embiid? Victor Oladipo isn’t a one-hit wonder in my opinion, but he’s not on Giannis’ level.
The criticism for Giannis is going to get louder and louder in the next six months. Trust me, that’s going to become a thing in the national landscape, and Bucks fans are going to have to defend him to the death. That’s what happens when you’re on top. People are going to keep coming for you and give you shit for the most ridiculous things possible.
I cannot wait for the Greek Freak to shut them the fuck up.
Charlie.
