Giannis Takes First Hearty Shot at Jason Kidd

Let’s get this going, eh? Many people talked about the idea that Giannis would not be happy with a coaching change. He loved Jason Kidd. And Antetokounmpo gives Kidd a lot of credit for transforming into the player he is today. That said, he did not hold back any commentary about Kidd yesterday in the media comparing him to Mike Budenholzer. The media team asked Giannis about the difference from year over year, and the answer was stunning. Giannis showed a candiness that I didn’t think he had in him and truly laid into Kidd.
Remember when people were worried about how Giannis would react to losing Kidd? That was a different time. pic.twitter.com/Tuue2zlcgL

Any time a media type that’s part of the Jason Kidd mafia (Shouts to Steiny Mo and friends!) brings up Kidd’s name for a new head coaching gig, make sure to point them all to this comment from Giannis. The players felt ‘scared’ when they were down in the game and didn’t play to their best abilities. What does that say about the former Bucks coach? I realize we cannot turn back time, but it’s a shame that was Jabari Parker’s first coach. It truly fucked him up, and he’s still dealing with it because Fred Hoiberg is not an NBA coach either. Budenholzer didn’t have time for Bari on a championship team.
Every week it seems we get a Budenholzer story that makes you smile as a Bucks fan. At some point, it will get rocky but the honeymoon stage is continuing on for the Bucks.
Charlie.
