Green Bay Says Goodbye To Knile Davis

Well it was real, Knile.
Green Bay Packers decided to cut the running back they traded for a couple weeks ago after he only had five snaps out of 82 with a depleted backfield. The Davis experiment wasn’t a good one for Green Bay. There is some speculation that Green Bay might reclaim him off waivers. This might be most Ted Thompson move of all time as they owe Kansas City absolutely nothing with cutting Davis. And it would be very Thompson to bring him back for nothing. It’s unlikely this will happen though for Green Bay. Davis probably knew he would be a pink slip when Aaron Ripkowski received second-half carries and did it much better than anything Davis brought to the table. I’m sure some pinhead will criticize Ted Thompson for this move, but in reality, it was a lottery ticket that didn’t cash. It happens to all of us.
Charlie.
