Gritty Packers Grind Out a Snowy Win, 21-13

Aaron Rodgers interviewed by CBS Sports’ Tracy Wolfson after the game, and the quarterback said ‘We had a lot of grit to win this game.’ Now, we love to make fun of the word ‘grit’ or ‘gritty’ because it’s a cliche word people use too much. But sometimes, grit is the perfect way to describe what a team needed to win a football game. Green Bay wins their second straight game with a 21-13 victory over Houston.
There are going to be people critical of the Packers offense because it didn’t look as good as it did last week yet that’s foolish. The weather and Rodgers hamstring dictated some of the things the offense did this afternoon. I do think Houston’s pass defense is better than people give it credit for and that also played a part in the sluggish offense. But when it matters the most, Green Bay took the ball down the field starting from their own 2 and 10 and punched it into the end zone for six.
Next up is Seattle in one of the biggest tests of the season. Green Bay is playing like a team with their backs against the wall, and it’s been working out well for them thus far.
