Here We Go Again: Rodgers vs. McCarthy Round 100

Death, taxes and Aaron Rodgers-Mike McCarthy being mad at each other. It’s an annual tradition at this point and catnip for any blogger, radio show hot, tv talk show. This is the type of thing people eat up in today’s generation. The admiration for being petty and having drama is why people live off the NBA on an every night basis. Rodgers vs. McCarthy is coming to a finale. These two guys are clearly at odds and don’t get along whatsoever. They fake it for the media and say things are all good then take shots at each other when shit isn’t going right for the team. Who has more the gain from this being out in the media?
Mike McCarthy
The head ball coach sets up pretty nicely with this budding rivalry with his own quarterback. McCarthy can tell the next team that hires him whether it’s Cleveland, Tampa Bay, New York or anywhere else that it wasn’t his fault things went south. Rodgers became uncoachable and refused to work in my system. This all plays really nicely for Mac. He can put the blame on Rodgers and move to his next place without blood on his hands. I’m fairly sure McCarthy’s camp told Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network of this feud, and it led to the story coming out on Sunday morning.
Aaron Rodgers
Usually, people tend to take the coach’s side in these type of things. But not everyone is Rodgers. He’s the best quarterback in the league, and people ride with those guys. Rodgers blaming McCarthy explains the type of season he’s having which is a mediocre one at best. Rodgers has to be miffed about all of the success players like Patrick Mahomes, Drew Brees, Jared Goff, Mitchell Trubisky and others are having this year. Why can’t the best quarterback in the league flourish like the other guys in the league? Shouldn’t he be putting up crazy numbers? See how this could be Rodgers-driven and not McCarthy?
These guys need to settle this shit and move on. Rodgers is too good for this bullshit to be infecting the team. McCarthy needs to check his ego too and give a little bit to Rodgers. Hopefully, they can move on together or this team is doomed.
Charlie.
