Introducing The Golden Kegs, the New Way To Recap Wisconsin Sports
The Golden Keg used to be a trophy that the club football teams of UWM and Marquette fought for in the battle of the Brew City. A couple of weeks ago, my buddy Coach asked me ‘Who were your Golden Kegs of the game?’ when it came to the Marquette game. I’m not sure why it took me until today to realize how perfect this would be for Tapping The Keg. Keg is in our name. We need to bring this in. The Golden Kegs are basically similar to how hockey does it with three stars (Three Kegs), two stars (Two kegs), one star (One keg). I explain it in the podcast today around 20 minutes in.
Still trying to work out if I’m going to use this as a writing piece versus a podcast thing. My biggest thing is that we don’t have enough content for Facebook and Twitter. We have enough for Instagram and TikTok (Although, we will add this in periodically). I think this is a cool way to talk about the players with the teams that we’re watching on a regular basis. The teams that will be featured as our golden kegs would be the Milwaukee Bucks, Marquette Golden Eagles, Wisconsin Badgers football, and Milwaukee Brewers. For the Green Bay Packers, I’m not sure if we’re going to do star ratings or make the golden kegs happen there too. Stay tuned there.
