Is Matt Harvey About to be a Brewer?

Matt Harvey and the Brewers cannot seem to get away from themselves. An MLB team claimed Matt Harvey on Thursday. A deal has to be done today. Bob Nightengale, whom seems to be in on any Harvey news, seems to put the Brewers as the team that claimed him. I’m going to save the reaction until things become an official, but man, David Stearns is testing my faith in the Stearns I trust campaign.
I’m trying to keep the faith here, but I fail to understand why Harvey makes sense for the team. Does Derek Johnson know something that I do not and he is about to make The Dark Knight reappear in Milwaukee? If Johnson, Craig Counsell and David Stearns know something that I do not, I’m very much here for it. That said, it’s hard not to look at the stats and wonder what the hell they are thinking.
For those wondering if Harvey could be an early game starter for Freddy Peralta, think again. He is not a good pitcher in the first couple of innings of the game just like Peralta. The stats go down for the former Mets ace as the game goes on. Therefore, I don’t know if there is a basis to bring him in but what the hell do I know?
We’ll be on Harvey watch for the day.
Charlie.
