Jabari Parker’s “Frustrated” Comments Fall Flat

Hope you liked Milwaukee, Jabari Parker. The media had a chance to meet with Parker and the Milwaukee Bucks yesterday before their Game 3 showdown with the Boston Celtics. The heel turn of Parker continues with comments made regarding not getting enough minutes and being frustrated with the quick hook. He explained to the media how he’s not on Joe Prunty’s ‘good side’, and that’s affecting his minutes. It appears Jabari is playing his way out of Milwaukee, and I’m not sure how you can play him on Friday night.
Jabari Parker was very animated talking about his frustration right now with limited minutes. He mentioned the only way to see the floor more was to be on the “coach’s good side”. When asked if he was on Prunty’s good side, he smirked and said “I don’t think so.” #Bucks

We talk all the time about how we do not want our athletes to be robots, so, I get someone trying to say Parker should get praised for his honesty. That said, it’s a very hollow take by Parker. He laid out his frustrations with the media. Same goes for his contract issues right prior to the playoffs starting. Given Giannis Antetokounmpo’s comments, he’s fed up with Parker’s antics (Don’t it’s just Jabari that Giannis took shots at). Prunty seemed to be defensive when asked why Parker isn’t getting more minutes. Bill Simmons, noted hoops fan and Ringer founder, called out Parker for being the most disinterested on Tuesday night. Once again, this team looks like individuals.
I would not play Parker much on Friday night. I do not know if he comes in the first quarter. What’s plagued Milwaukee recently is they bring in the second unit at the end of the first quarter, and they shit the bed all together. Prunty needs to find a new combination of guys. If Parker comes through with 20 points or plays really well, I’ll shut up. But these are the type of comments that alienate you from a fanbase. Hope Parker doesn’t get booed tonight, but I’ll not be surprised.
Charlie.
