Jesus Aguilar, a Brewers Third Baseman?

Tonight, the Brewers decided to get weird with their lineup. Kyle Freeland is a lefty, and he gives up a lot of hard contact to right-handed batters. With the hopes of getting Domingo Santana, Ryan Braun and Jesus Aguilar all in the lineup, the Brewers will be putting Jesus at third base tonight. Yes, you read that right. The big man will get a start at third. I’m not sure how this is going to work, and the first ball hit over to him will be a fucking adventure. I also fear what’s going to happen if there’s a bunt situation. I do love the innovation from Craig Counsell even though Travis Shaw is swinging a hot stick.

According to the Brewers beat, Aguilar takes grounders at third all the time. He’s played there for a grand total of 3 innings for his entire career, so, we’ll see how things go tonight. Hopefully, the rain stays away and Brent Suter can have another good outing as he will be the starter, not Chase Anderson, as Anderson has an illness. Suter will have to deal with Nolan Arenado who absolutely crushes left-handers.
Charlie.
