Joe Maddon’s 2019 Slogan is Very Cringeworthy
Chicago Cubs manager Joe Maddon thinks he’s the smartest guy in the room no matter what room he is in. Maddon could be with a group of NASA scientists, and there would be some belief that he is the smartest man here. He had his first press conference of the year in Arizona, and he talked about the 2019 season. Cubs made the postseason in 2018, but they were beat in the Wild Card round by Colorado at home. Maddon wants everyone to be on board this season, and he came up with slogan that a 2020 Democratic candidate for President might use before it is all said and done.
Joe Maddon is in midseason form right now @670thescore saying the slogan for the #Cubs season which isn't finalized is "Own it Now." Notes that if you turn around N-O-W that it spells Won.

Like what in the actual hell? “Own it now” but now is a way to say ‘Own the win.’ How fucking high was Joe when he made this up? Did he head to the backwoods of New Mexico and find some natural peyote to ingest to come with the slogan. Did Milwaukee screw him up that bad he needs to come up with a phrase to talk about this season. Usually when teams do this kind of thing, the manager or coach is showing a bit of insecurity. They might not be able to get through to the players with their own methods, therefore, they need a rally cry.
Do you know how pissed the social team is at Maddon? They’re probably cursing him out right now. The creative has to change to ‘Own it now.’ Maybe something along the lines of now turning into won. I’m very excited to troll the Cubs all season with this.
Charlie.
